School Director Chelsea Campolongo is relocating outside of the School District and has submitted her letter of resignation. The Board will vote to formally accept her resignation and declare her seat vacant at the voting meeting on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. In anticipation of her Board seat becoming vacant, the School District will be accepting applications for interested candidates until July 15, 2024. The Board anticipates appointing the successful candidate at a special voting meeting on July 23, 2024 at 7:00 pm and the appointed candidate will serve through December 2025. The Board has placed the following advertisement for the anticipated vacancy.

The West Jefferson Hills School District is currently accepting letters of application from individuals interested in serving as a School Board member. The deadline to apply is Monday, July 15, 2024. Applicants must be 18 years or older, have good moral character, and have been a resident of the West Jefferson Hills School District for at least one year prior to the date of appointment. School Board members are volunteers and are not paid for their service. The selected candidate will serve until December 2025.
Interested candidates must submit a letter of application and a resume for consideration. Please include the following information in your letter of application:
- Describe the skills or expertise you would bring to the Board.
- Describe your reasons for wanting to join the Board, including two key issues you would want to address as a Board member.
- Describe any other volunteer service you have participated in for the School District and/or in the community?
